Review
I have lots to say about this book. Unfortunately, most of it would be spoilers so I have to contain myself here. But know this – the first almost 75% of the book is just great, 5 stars and more worthy. Vaughn is a tortured rock star who medicates himself on the regular with pills and booze. Gigi is the girl who gets into his head and heart, and he can’t stand her not being with him. He swoops her off her feet and won’t let go. Gigi fights her attraction to Vaughn until she finally figures she’s got nothing to lose by having some fun with him.
Almost three quarters of the book in, and we got drama, tears, the works. And that’s when the book goes downhill, and fast. Based on that part, I’d give this book 1 shiny star. I can’t explain without giving anything away, but I’ll tell you that the way Vaughn’s addiction is being treated is one of the stupidest (for lack of a better word) things I’ve ever read. It didn’t make any sense no matter how I thought it over.
There are two epilogues that I wasn’t into even, though I usually love epilogues. The whole ending felt rushed and just blah. It just made no sense to me. Anyways, if you cut that last quarter out, you got a really great story LOL
