Review
Rating: ★★★★
I love love, LOVE books where the heroine is trying to break down gender roles. So when I saw Dr. Rebecca Sharp was writing a book ( in K. Bromberg’s Driven world no less) about a woman NASCAR driver, I thought YES SIGN ME UP! Throw in a broody Irish mechanic, and I sold.
Things I loved:
The heroine, Kacey, was perfect. I loved how tenacious she was, that she didn’t back down. I loved that she was stubborn and driven. I thought she was absolutely perfect.
I loved Garrett, the hero. He’s a perfect compliment to Kacey, and their chemistry really comes through in the book.
The main storyline was great with Kacey being this woman driver trying to make it in a boy’s world. The other storyline, which included Garrett’s past was great as well. I thought it played into the main plot perfectly and gave more meat to the story overall.
Things I didn’t love:
I thought it dragged on for a long time. I thought parts could be condensed because it started to feel like we were never going to make it to the end.
Overall:
I enjoyed this book, and I would highly recommend it. Even though I thought it drug on longer than necessary, I like the book very much.
