COWBOY by Hayley Faiman

Review

Rating: ★★★★

Doesn’t everyone have a Cowboy fantasy? That’s what you get to live in the fifth book in Hayley Faimans Unfit Hero series, aptly named Cowboy.

I loved Ford, like loooooooved him. I thought his character fit perfectly with what the author was going for, and he was just dreamy.
The heroine Stephanie, well, meh. Not going to lie, I’m not a fan of hers. Did it hinder the story for me? No, she was annoying, and I wanted to punch her sometimes, but she didn’t kill the book for me.
I was surprised that Ford wasn’t as big of a jerk as the authors’ heroes typically are, but that didn’t make any difference. Cowboy was another solid romance from this author!

Recluse. Brooding. Man Whore. Rough.

Labels can set us up for success for failure.

I hate them, always have.
There is a reason for mine.
I dream of that reason morning, noon, and night.

Egocentric. Greedy. Cruel. Self-Loathing.

Labels shape the lonely woman that I am.

I hate the person that I’ve allowed myself to become.
I’ve hurt the only person that I have ever loved.
I dream of him every single night when I close my eyes.

Labels are worn like a badge, either in honor or horror.

They do not define me.
I am judged by them anyway.
