Weekly Update

Recaps April 6th – 12th

Whew! What a crazy book week it’s been! So I decided to do these little updates when I can and this week has been packed full of some fun stuff!

For those of you that didn’t know I attended Motorcycles, Mobsters, and Mayhem in Austin, TX on April 6th, which was my first trip to Austin and only the second book signing that I’ve attended. First, Austin traffic is CRAZY! I am a small town girl, but I’ve been driving in cities for over 20 years and Austin was by far the craziest I’ve ever driven in.
While there I also visited Platinum Ink and got my second tattoo, its book inspired and I love it. If you are ever in Austin looking to get a tattoo I highly recommend Laguna at Platinum Ink, he was legit, and we had the best conversation about books, comics, and movies. He even gave me some comic recommendations that I’ve already put on my TBR!
Now on to the signing! It rained, like torrential downpour rained the morning of MMM19 and if you know downtown Austin, then you know parking is not exactly helpful when its raining. Luckily I was an early entry ticket and the rain had stopped for a little while about that time. In all honesty, I made the trip to Austin to see Autumn Jones Lake. Autumn is one of my all-time favorite authors and she only does about three signings a year. If you haven’t picked up her Lost Kings MC series, you can click here and start with Slow Burn, its more than just a story about bikers I promise.
I also got to meet the awesome and crazy Scott Hildreth. I’ve only read one of his series, but I’m going to get more of his books on my TBR. Author Sapphire Knight is who puts this amazing signing together, and I also got to meet her. Let me tell you I thought she was beautiful from her pictures on social media, but they do not even do her justice. Not only stunning in person but she is the sweetest person if that wasn’t obvious from all the hard work she put into MMM19. Here are some of my pictures from my time in Austin; I didn’t take nearly enough!

Back on the release and cover reveal front, a lot was going on this week for me. Brittainy C Cherry released Eleanor & Grey which I had the privilege of reading an ARC. Brittainy always brings the feels in her writing, and this book was no different. You can check out my review here.

Another release this week that I read an ARC for was RB Hilliards Million Dollar Musician. If you are a fan of RB Hilliard, then you have probably read or heard of her Meltdown series, and this was a spin-off of sorts. I really loved this book, and you can check out my review here.

There were tons of cover reveals this week for some books that I am really excited to read.
Fairly new author, Catherine Cowles, revealed her cover for Beautifully Broken Life, which will release June 25th. Her third book and the second in the Sutter Lake series. Click here for the cover and info on the book.

We finally get to go back to Logan’s Beach for T.M. Frazier’s June 18th release of N9NE, The Tale of Kevin Clearwater. I first read King by T.M. Frazier and have been hooked to anything she writes since. For the N9NE cover reveal and buying links click here.

Authors Melanie Harlow and Corinne Michaels are teaming up again for their April 26th release Imperfect Match, a friends to lovers standalone. Check out the cover and book blurb here.

New York Times Bestselling author J.A. Huss has a new release coming April 15th, Pretty Thing and I’ve got the cover reveal and an exclusive excerpt! Check it out here!

Also, this week that wasn’t on the blog. Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank revealed the cover of Angel, the final book in Viper and Halo’s story. I’ve done reviews on both of the other books that you can check here on the blog and really excited for Angels release April 25th! Halo also just went live in Audible. So any audiobook fans should check that out. I know I’ve already bought my copy!

Kelly Elliott dropped the beautiful and romantic cover for her upcoming release Love at First Sight! It’s up for preorder and releases August 9th, 2019.

Eve R. Hart revealed the cover of her new book Masked Desires which releases April 19th. I’ve had the honor of being on Eve’s ARC team for a little while now and will have my review for this new book up soon. It’s a different look than we have seen in the past from Eve, but I think you are going to love it.

Did you know I share freebies and discounted books on my Facebook and Instagram page? I try to do this daily but with three sassy girls under 9 and the hubs getting into planting season I sometimes forget a day so forgive me that! All the books I share for this are by authors I have read and recommend. There are still a ton of other free/discounted books out there, but I like knowing who I am suggesting to you!
